Banjo Corporation (Banjo Corp.) was started in 1959 under the name Terra-Knife, and originally manufactured fertilizer knives for distribution. As the agricultural industry grew, their products grew to include ball valves and cam lever couplings, and the company was renamed Terra-Products to better represent their product line. The entrepreneurial spirit of the company led to the creation and manufacturing of new products for new industries, and the company was eventually renamed Banjo Corporation after one of the companies leading products, the ball valve, which shared some similarities with a banjo.
