These unique filters include innovative "discs" with 3 dimensional design and large surface areas to minimize cleanings. As liquid enters the filter housing, a high velocity centrifugal action occurs, spiraling heavier particles (sand, sediment, etc.) away from the disc cartridge, down to the base of the filter. These accumulated particles are then flushed from the filter via the 3/4" flush port connection at the base of the filer (flush valve is not included). The grooved discs are also very effective at filtering out soft fibrous material like algae. The filters can be installed in any orientation; however, it is preferable to install them with the 3/4" flush port at the bottom. One inlet and two FPT outlets (side and top) with threaded cap for outlet not being used. Available in three different sizes: 2", 2" super and 3" models.
